What to pack for your trip to the Sahara

Clothes, sun protection and small essentials: a simple checklist for your nights in the desert.

Clothes

  • Lightweight, breathable clothing to stay cool during the day
  • A warm layer (fleece or light jacket) for the evening — desert nights can be cold
  • Closed-toe shoes to protect your feet from the hot sand
  • Sandals or comfortable shoes for the camp

Sun and sand protection

  • Sunglasses to shield your eyes from the sun and sand
  • Sunscreen
  • A scarf or turban — our guides can also offer you a traditional cheche

Small essentials

  • A reusable water bottle — stay hydrated
  • Your phone charger (every tent has electricity, and there is Wifi at the camp)
  • A small backpack for the activities

What you don’t need

You don’t need towels, bedding or toiletries: every tent has a private bathroom with hot water, premium toiletries and high-quality linens.
