4 Days Errachidia to Fez Desert Tour

Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Rissani – Merzouga

Pick-up at your hotel, the bus station or Errachidia airport. We drive south along the Ziz Valley, stopping at the Meski Blue Spring and the palm-grove viewpoints, then cross Erfoud and Rissani, the old caravan town. In the late afternoon you ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes for sunset and arrive at Milagro Luxury Camp: mint tea, dinner and Berber music around the fire.

A full day in the Merzouga desert

Sunrise over the dunes and breakfast at the camp. A 4×4 tour around Erg Chebbi takes you to a nomad family for tea, to Khamlia village and its Gnawa musicians, to the seasonal lake of Dayet Srij and the black desert. Back at the camp, sandboarding on the dunes, free time by the tents and a second night under the stars.

Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt

Sunrise over the dunes and breakfast at the camp. We drive north along the Ziz Valley, with its oases and ksour, and through the spectacular Ziz Gorges to Midelt, the apple town at the foot of the Ayachi mountains. Relaxed afternoon and night in a kasbah guesthouse.

Midelt – Azrou cedar forest – Ifrane – Fez

We cross the Middle Atlas through the cedar forest of Azrou, where the Barbary macaques live, stop in the alpine town of Ifrane and arrive in Fez in the early afternoon, in time for a first walk in the oldest medina of Morocco.
